SAN DIEGO - May 6, 2022 - Local sunglass brand Roshambo Eyewear announces it will give away 8,000 pairs of Padres-branded kids sunglasses at the May 8 Padres vs. Marlins game. The fan giveaway is part of the month-long KidsFest Sunday family-friendly festivities at Petco Park for children 14 and younger.
“The first 8,000 kids in attendance will score our Padres sunglasses, perfect for sunny days at the ballpark,” said Scott Morris, co-founder of Roshambo Eyewear. “As a local company, we love to give back to our community in a fun way and are proud to be an official partner and sponsor of the game this Sunday. I had the idea for our brand coincidentally while at a Padres game with my four-month-old, who was staring up at the bright sun with no protection. After realizing nobody made high-quality, practical kids sunglasses, my wife and I got to work and now offer stylish Italian-made selections for the entire family, babies included!”
Roshambo Eyewear delivers prescription-friendly frames, with a direct-to-consumer prescription service on its website. The brand provides free at-home try-on kits to explore different sizes and styles and has a full damage replacement guarantee on broken frames.
The family-owned brand puts an affordable twist on Italian-designed sunglasses that blend with active lifestyles for babies to adults. The unbreakable eyewear is tough enough to withstand a young child’s rough and tumble playtime and sports activities.
Consumers can choose from polarized sunglasses, prescription glasses, and blue light blocking glasses in various colors. The lenses can be swapped into different frame colors so kids can match their glasses with any outfit. There are five sizes so the entire family can match, starting at just $20 for babies and toddlers. The frames are safe, durable, flexible and ultra-light.
The brand ensures its offerings comfortably shield 100% UVA/B rays. Made with a proprietary blend of rubber and recycled materials, frames also are 100% certified toxin-free, with no BPA, lead, latex, cadmium or phthalates. All color is injected into the material, ensuring no paint or painted logos rub off.

If you have another pair of glasses that fit you well, you can look on the inside of the arms of your glasses for the measurement. You'll see a few numbers separated by squares or dashes, for example 41-16-100. Then you can pick your perfect Roshambo frame to fit!
Here’s what those numbers mean:
The first number is lens width. It will probably be between 40 and 60 mm and is usually followed by a square symbol.
The second number is bridge width, or distance between lens (DBL). It will likely be between 13 and 24 mm.
The third number is temple length. It’s probably between 100 and 150 mm.
