What Type of Glasses Can I Buy with FSA and HSA Dollars?

Great news! All Roshambo prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses are HSA and FSA eligible. Shop for unbreakable children's glasses online and place your order using your health savings (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). You may also be able use your vision insurance benefits for huge savings. Read through our FAQs below or contact us to help walk you through it!

Any eyewear product that corrects your vision is classified as a "medical product" and is therefore available for purchase with an FSA or HSA account. Roshambo Eyewear has a huge selection of prescription glasses just for you!

Starting at $69, Roshambo glasses include your choice of frame color, single vision polycarbonate lenses in your prescription, carrying case, silicone ear adjusters, plus free shipping! Shop Prescription glasses for babies, toddlers, kids, teens and adults!

Light-Adaptive Transitioning Glasses

Light-adaptive or sunlight sensitive lenses adjust from clear to tinted lenses in the sun, with no need to change your glasses! Choose from a variety of sizes, styles and color frames and then just select "Light-Adaptive" or "Transition" as the lens option when checking out! Shop Light-Adaptive Transitioning Glasses for babies, toddlers, kids, teens and adults.

Blue Light Glasses

Most providers will let you use your FSA or HSA accounts to buy blue light filtering glasses. This type of eyewear filters out blue light (from digital devices like laptops and phone screens) that can negatively affect sleep. Some studies show that this type of light can also cause permanent eye damage. Remember to check with your provider to find out whether blue light filtering glasses are covered by your plan. Shop Blue Light Glasses for toddlers, kids, teens and adults.

How Do I Redeem My FSA or HSA Dollars at Roshambo Eyewear?

If you have an FSA or HSA card you can simply use it to buy any prescription glasses at Roshambo Eyewear. You can place an order on our site using your FSA or HSA card as you would any other credit card. If you encounter any issues, please check the balance on your card and double check with your carrier to see if you’re eligible.

What if I Don't have an FSA or HSA Card?

If you don’t have an FSA or HSA debit card, just use your credit card like normal and then get reimbursed from your FSA/HSA provider. Most will require you to submit a reimbursement form along with a receipt. We’ll include a receipt with your shipping confirmation email and if you need an itemized receipt or further help, we are always happy to help.

What are Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts?

An FSA is a “Flexible Spending Account” and is offered by most employers. FSAs are essentially savings accounts that a portion of your pre-tax income goes into at every pay period. The important thing to remember is that whatever money is put into an FSA account must be spent by the end of the year or it will be lost.

So, you must keep track of what’s in your FSA account and spend it on medical expenses before the year ends. Roshambo has so many options for you to shop for that can be all paid for by your FSA account:

An HSA or “Health Savings Account” is also a savings account that you can put pre-tax income into each pay period. HSAs are individually owned, so they are not linked to your employer. You can also roll the money over to following years, unlike FSAs that must be spent within the calendar year or forfeited.

Like FSAs, HSAs can also be used to help pay for eyeglasses, eyewear accessories, and eye exams. After establishing an FSA or HSA account, you will be mailed a card that acts like your debit or credit card to pay for your prescription glasses, as well as any other qualified medical expenses.

Home Frame Try–On Kits

Then just return them with the free label included, and order your glasses online. Peace of mind that you'll have the perfect fitting glasses for your family. Shop Home Frame Try-On Kits.

No FSA or HSA?

You can still save an average of $100 when you use your vision insurance benefits. (This may vary by state or plan.)Not sure if you have an FSA or HSA? Just ask your employer or insurance company.

What if I have an LPFSA?

Just like HSAs and FSAs, a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) is a tax-advantaged account that you can use on eligible dental and vision expenses. But unlike HSAs which carryover, you typically only have one year to spend your LPFSA money before it goes away.
