How to Order Kids Prescription Glasses Online

You need three things to order: a current prescription from your child's eye doctor, your child's pupillary distance (PD), and a frame that fits their face. If PD isn't on the prescription, ask the prescribing doctor or use our free virtual PD measurement tool. For children, accurate PD is especially important — even a small misalignment between the optical centre and the pupil can cause eye strain.

For frame selection, use our age-based size guide. Baby prescription frames fit ages 6 months to 2 years. Toddler frames fit ages 2–4. Junior frames fit ages 5–10. Teen frames fit ages 11–17. If you're unsure which size is right, our Home Try-On Kit lets you test 5 frames at home before committing to prescription lenses. This is particularly useful if your child is between sizes or if you want them involved in the choice.

Orders are hand-assembled in San Diego and typically ship in 7-10 business days. Rush processing is available at checkout if you need them sooner.

What to Look For in Kids Prescription Glasses

Kids prescription glasses fail for one of two reasons: the frames break, or the fit is wrong. Both problems undermine the prescription — a child who doesn't wear their glasses, or wears them bent out of alignment, isn't getting the visual correction they need. The most important thing you can buy in a kids prescription frame isn't the style. It's durability and accurate fit.

Standard optical frames — the kind you'd find at most chains — are made from acetate or metal. Both materials snap under the kind of mechanical stress a child applies daily without thinking about it. A rigid frame hitting a hard floor at the wrong angle is a broken frame. Most families go through multiple pairs a year and treat it as a cost of having a child who wears glasses. It doesn't have to be that way.

Roshambo kids prescription glasses are built from a proprietary Italian material that flexes instead of snapping. Every frame in our prescription range has been used by children who have tested them in ways no adult would — and they come back asking for new colours, not replacements. The frames are available for every age from baby through adult, custom-built with your child's prescription in our San Diego facility, and backed by a damage replacement guarantee.
